I was asked to feature in an artists solo show in a Volks Wagon garage in Essex. This was a good opportunity because at this time I hadn't ever shown work out side of my university. As much as I appreciated the opportunity I knew this exhibition was going to be full of old rich Essex people who probably wouldn't know to much about art. So I decided to create a box and screen print a transsexual called Amanda Lapore onto every side, and then half way through the exhibition I poured bubble gum pink paint all over it. It was all in an attempt to shake the night up a bit, the gasps from around the room spoke for them selves.
